Virtual Midnight Walk 16th May 2020
Salisbury Hospice Charity is trying something new this month; a virtual midnight walk.
Their midnight walk, which takes place annually in May, is one of their biggest fundraising events. However, with the current social distancing restrictions in force, this has meant changes have had to be made.
So instead, they are turning to the virtual world, and will be hosting a Virtual Midnight Walk on Saturday May 16th with a choice of starting times and distances of either 6 or 10 miles to choose from.
The route taken and method of completion is also entirely up to you; walk, run or jog laps around your sofa, your garden, your village or even up and down the stairs, the only rule being that Government social distancing guidelines must be adhered to at all times.
For more information on the event and how to take part, you can visit the Salisbury Hospice Charity page here.
The Hospice also recently held a virtual fabulous family fun day, with a number of events taking place, including a fancy dress competition and a virtual football league! You can read more about the day here.
Funds raised so far are over £8,000 with donations still being accepted and our very own Kev Lawrence is helping to raise further funds for the Hospice. For anyone who would like to join in, he is asking listeners to pick a song and make a donation to the Hospice's Facebook page, with the song chosen being played the following day on his breakfast show.
