Wiltshire Air Ambulance...

    Looking for your help

You may remember that late last year, The Monday Morning show team were joined by Jeff Vincent, a member of the Wiltshire Air Ambulance, a registered charity funded by donations.

Operating across Wiltshire, the yellow and green Bell 429 helicopter is the first of its type to be used as an air ambulance in the UK and can fly at a speed of 178 mph.

It takes 2 minutes to scramble the helicopter, which can reach anywhere in Wiltshire in 11 minutes. Running for up to 19 hours a day, on average they will make 3 potentially life saving flights a day and always carry 2 units of O negative blood.

The Air Ambulances life saving flights are continuing during the current coronavirus outbreak but due to social distancing guidelines they have had to cancel or postpone planned fund raising activities.

Because of this, they are now looking at raising funds digitally and have set up an online donation bucket for anyone who would like to help towards their fundraising efforts.

If you would like to get involved, you can visit the link to their Just Giving page here, where you can also find more information on the organisation itself.
