Highways England are going to be carrying out overnight surveys in the Countess Roundabout Amesbury area for the next few nights.
This is all part of their preparation work for the A303 Stonehenge upgrade, allowing them to test ground conditions and the strength of the existing road.
To limit the disruption caused, these surveys will take place between 8 pm - 5 am from Monday 16th March through to Thursday 19th March.
Details taken from the Highways England website state; "One lane will be closed on Countess roundabout, on the approaches to the roundabout on the A345 and on the A303 – from 300 metres west of Countess roundabout extending 700 metres eastwards. These lane closures will be removed each morning by 5am."
