Salisbury City Council's Dodgeball is back by popular demand!

Dodgeball starts back up on Tuesday 21st February for any children in school year's 5 to 8, to get involved in this fast paced and fun activity.

Due to high demand, we have increased the number of spaces available for children to take part. This Club which ran in 2022 with a short break over the winter, is proving to be an accessible way for children and young people to get moving and stay active. Dodgeball helps young people to develop physical skills and social relationships through modified games and traditional dodgeball matches. Sessions are led by a Level 2 UK Dodgeball coach and the project is managed by Salisbury City Council’s Communities Team. Sessions include a number of dodgeball games such as Medic, River-dodge, Unlimited Dodgeball, Cannonball, and many more but you don't need to be familiar with any of this to take part. Often people assume that the sessions are only open to students at Sarum Academy, as the sessions take place in their sports facilities, but we want to spread the word that Dodgeball with Salisbury City Council is open to all, and the first session is free so you can try before you buy. It is a central priority of the Communities team to support residents on low incomes, so our sessions are kept to a very low cost of £4 per session.

Our past participants tell us that the sessions are action packed and a great way to play, exercise and make new friends! One participant, returning this season, said “I love it. I want it to go on forever.”

So if you want to join in, the sessions are 5.30pm-6.30pm for school years 5 – 8 at Sarum Academy, Tuesdays during term time starting on the 21st February, after half term.

A free trial session is available and the remaining sessions are to be paid in advance at a cost of £4 per session. Payments are due after the trial session is completed and before the first paid session.
